2022 is officially halfway over… woah. As we hit this halfway point of the year, our team began to reflect on what this year has looked like thus far. Although we have faced unexpected challenges (which, ironically, seems like the norm these days), we’ve also had some big wins.
In honor of one half of the year being over, we wanted to create and post a blog post highlighting and celebrating our wins of 2022 so far. We’re so glad you’re here to celebrate with us as well! We truly could not have done any of it without you.

1. Incredible support from you, our customers
First and foremost, we want to take the time to recognize the incredible support that you, our valued customers, have continued to show us throughout the first half of this year. Despite being in a highly competitive market, we’ve seen our customers trust in and come back to us this year.

2. New Brand Manager: Gordon Fleming
Another huge win that we’ve celebrated so far this year is our new Brand Manager, Gordon Fleming, coming on board! Gordon came into the Shine Above Window And Gutter Cleaning team at the end of April ready to make a positive impact and he did just that.
Not only does Gordon focus on providing high quality window, gutter, and pressure washing services to customers, but he also focuses on growing his team and improving the business as a whole. The technicians that have been added to the Shine Above team have felt nothing but support and appreciation from their Brand Manager.
The level of care that Gordon has and shows for his customers, his team members, and Shine Above Window & Gutter Cleaning is inspiring and has already made a positive difference.

3. Doubled our crew of technicians
Speaking of our amazing team of trained window cleaning, gutter cleaning, and pressure washing technicians, we doubled our crew this year! Not only is this a huge win for us because a bigger team was needed because of more work, but this also gave us the opportunity to employ more people.
Being able to provide fulfilling, meaningful work experiences and careers for people has been a major win for us thus far this year. Here at Shine Above Window & Gutter Cleaning, we don’t have employees, we have team members.
As a part of the Mosaic Home Services Group of Companies, we are always aiming to provide long term careers for our team members, not just work. That’s exactly what we’ve been able to do throughout 2022 so far and exactly what we plan on continuing to do.

4. Introduced our window screen cleaner
Throughout the first half of 2022, the Shine Above Window & Gutter Cleaning team decided to really dive into what sets us apart from our competitors. At the end of the day, it came down to one important thing – we really care about our customers.
Providing you with thorough, valuable services is what’s most important to us. Something that we and all of our sister companies under the Mosaic Home Services Group of Companies believe in is this care.
When we come to provide you with window cleaning services, gutter cleaning services, or pressure washing services, we are coming to work on your home. Your home is not only your private space but is also typically one of your biggest assets. These are just a few of the reasons why care is so important to us.
Our window screen cleaning offering is something that we introduced during the first half of 2022 to portray our care to you, our valued customers. As we delved into our company, we realized that windows will only look super clean if both the window and the screen are thoroughly cleaned.
So, we went out and purchased a specialized window screen cleaner that thoroughly but gently washes off all of the dirt, dust, and other debris that has accumulated in window screens! This has added great value to our services and been something that our customers have absolutely loved.
5. Landed some big exciting projects with big exciting clients
As a small local business, working with larger companies and customers in Edmonton and the surrounding area helps us immensely. When we do so, we’re able to build our reputation and get our name out there as a premium building detailing company.
Although we truly do appreciate each and every single one of our customers, we want to take the time today to highlight a few bigger ones that we’ve had the privilege of working with this year as a sign of appreciation (and as a bit of a humble brag too…)!
This spring, we provided window cleaning services to both the Rec Room and to West Edmonton Mall! These projects gave our team the opportunity to work on larger windows and continue perfecting their window cleaning skills.
As we continue to grow throughout 2022 and beyond, we look forward to the new clients that we’ll have the pleasure of working with and the new projects that we’ll be able to take on.
